Oh Kathie, how scary! I remember my mother and father talking about an earthquake in California in the middle of the night. They struggled to get dressed and get me and my brother out of bed and into the middle of street. I was an infant, so I don't remember it. Shortly after my father moved us to Oklahoma and then later to Texas.

Thank you for a great blog!

First, I love the header on this blog...did you take the picture? I know you're quite the photographer and wonder...will have to check other posts and see if you mention it.

Funny you should be posting about an earthquake...I just did a couple of posts on the blog connected to my name above in NJ in the US, they are fairly rare here, and are happening in the town where my husband works. Small ones, but definitely noticeable:-)

Yea, Kathie, I know the feeling!
I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and have experienced many a quake in my time. Of course, we had a big one in '89--close to a 7 on the Richter Scale. It's an amazing feeling, almost surreal.
I hope nothing fell and broke. Out here, we have some kind of adhesive (like gum) and you stick it under your breakables so they won't fall off during a quake. Weird, huh?!
