I’m with Eileen on the concern about global warming. All my friends in my environmental work have noticed how unusually warm the weather has been in California and many places worldwide. Hope you survive the miserable heat, Kathie, and that our fellow earthlings all do their part to keep our planet healthy. We have very hot summers in the Sacramento Area. I hide “in!”

What a wonderful blog! I hadn’t seen this one before. I have such a hard time picturing how it is there, while I’m looking out our window at never-ending snow…seems like every few days we have a little more. If only we could take our weather and mix it with yours and split the just-right temperature between us and bring it home. Hope you stay safe…have read stories in the news.

Aaagh! That sounds awful. I’m so sorry to learn about your garden. From the photos you’ve taken, it looks like a beautiful spot.BR/I live in California, and we’re having way less than normal rainfall for the third year in a row. They’re saying we’ll be on water ration come the summer, so I guess our garden will be shade of dark brown, too.BR/Global warming must me starting to show–big time.

Hot Flashes and heat—that just doesn’t sound like a good combination to me. I don’t know how I would survive or maybe we’d just have an extremely HIGH electric bill for the air conditioning.BR/BR/On another note, I’m always amazed at the number of people who live closest to an attraction but don’t go. In my hometown, we have the Football Hall of Fame but if you ask many residents there, they’ll tell you they’ve never been.

I think after two days of an ice storm and 3 days without power, I’d trade you my 2 inches of ice and below freezing temperatures for a little bit of your heat wave!
