Rain at last!

After a long period of little or no rain, and often extreme heat, we finally have had a break with cooler weather and rain, glorious rain! Our pond at home is now full. We have a pipe leading from the gutter on our roof straight into the pond which has helped considerably but evenso, the gutters have been overflowing as the rain has been heavy and intense. Such a lovely sound to go to sleep to at night!

You can see the sweep of rain coming through this morning. I just hope and pray the catchment areas are getting it too as our dams are so very low. There was even snow falling in the outersuburbs in the mountains this morning. Amazing how much difference there can be within just a week! The Age is reporting this morning that there has been rain in the catchment areas which is great!
